CM Gehlot: Congress lost 2013 assembly elections because of officials

Jaipur: Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has made a big claim, saying that the Congress party lost the assembly elections in 2013 due to the officials. CM Gehlot said that till the end, the officials kept saying that we are winning the election, but everyone knows what happened in the election. In 2013, Gehlot had won the election from Sardarpura, but Congress lost.

In 2013, the Congress in Rajasthan was reduced to the lowest number of 21 seats in history. CM Gehlot was meeting leaders who had come to political appointments in 58 boards, corporations, commissions at his residence when he said all this. CM Gehlot made it clear to the MLAs that they will not be able to give the status of Minister of State to the MLAs as it is an office of profit. The case is the clear ruling of the apex court. Gehlot asked the MLAs to act without getting the status of a minister of state and tell us by taking feedback from the public, as the officials had given wrong feedback in the last few days.

More than three years later, Congress workers and MLAs have received political appointments, but a large number of posts are still vacant and there is also a lot of discontent over the way political appointments have been made in the party. According to sources, in the REET paper-leak case, there was also a discussion in the government that no matter how much the opposition created a ruckus, the CBI would not be handed over the probe. Let us know that for the last three days, the assembly is not able to run on the REET issue.
