Durg : Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has given a big statement regarding liquor ban. In the divisional conference organized in Durg, Bhupesh Baghel said about liquor that the arrangement made by Dr. Raman Singh's government regarding liquor, the same arrangement is still going on. He also said that I wanted to stop drinking but by then Corona had come. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that during the Corona period such a situation developed that people died after drinking spurious liquor, poisonous liquor and even sanitisers. He said that after all this, I do not have the courage to stop drinking and people start dying from spurious, poisonous liquor.

On the question of cutting the tickets of the outgoing MLAs, Chief Minister Baghel said that the winning candidate has criteria. He said that the one who can win, is given a ticket. Chief Minister Baghel claimed that the report card of most of our MLAs is very good. There may be some people who will not be in a position to contest elections due to health or any other reason, another candidate will be fielded in their place. He also made it clear that there is still time for the election and till then the circumstances change, then why would the ticket be cut. CM Baghel said that Union Minister Giriraj Singh has challenged the Congress to talk on the issue of MSP. We accept this challenge. He also said that Giriraj Singh should tell on which platform we have to come.

Bhupesh Baghel said that by how much did the price of paddy increase in the UPA government and by how much in the NDA government? UPA government also had 10 years, NDA is also about to complete 10 years. He said that we are ready for debate on MCP. Baghel said that what were the prices of diesel-petrol during the UPA government and what are they now, any Congress worker or farmer can talk to them on whatever platform they want. He said that according to the report of the Swaminathan Committee, the MSP should be increased. When the MSP was Rs 1800, then we had given Rs 2500 more MSP than the report of the Swaminathan Committee. Chief Minister Baghel said that we have now implemented the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. He said that as much as the support price increases, the amount will also increase for our farmers. This is going on since 3 years.
