Puducherry: Former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi was fooled by not another party leader but senior Congress leader and CM of Puducherry V Narayanasamy on Wednesday. He misrepresented a complaint made by a woman during a meeting with the fishermen community and presented it to Rahul Gandhi.
Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi reached Puducherry on a two-day round on Wednesday. Meanwhile, CM V Narayanasamy, already struggling to save his government, got involved in a controversy. He is being accused that when an elderly fisherman complained to Rahul Gandhi, Narayanasamy tricked Rahul into falsely translating the complaint made in Tamil by the woman. Instead of properly translating the woman's complaints, she allegedly said that he was praising himself and his government. This video of the woman is getting viral on social media.
Speaking in Tamil, a woman present at the meeting said that when the cyclone hit Puducherry, the ruling Congress government did not help the people. Since Rahul Gandhi does not understand Tamil, CM V Narayanasamy took the unfair advantage of it and converted the complaint of the woman into a compliment. CM Narayanasamy said that the woman was praising him for travelling and providing relief material during the cyclone.
