Bhopal: The scourge of corona infection is now receding in Madhya Pradesh. A number of arrangements are still being made by the state chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Now, amidst all this, a review meeting of preparations for Kharif crops was held with senior officials in the Ministry. Under the information received, State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, while interacting with the officials, said, "Timely supply of seeds and fertilizers to farmers for Kharif 2021 should be ensured. In addition, the farmers should be given the benefit of all schemes of farmer welfare in a transparent manner".

 

 

During the meeting, it was also informed that "The proposed programme of Procurement 2021 has set a target of covering an area of 149.57 lakh hectares with kharif crops and producing 2.72 lakh MT. Let us also inform all of you that efforts are being made to make availability of urea in the state 5.50 lakh metric by 31st May, 2021. Similarly, efforts are being made to increase the availability of DAP to 4.50 lakh MT".

At the same time, it has been stated in the meeting that the State Government has requested the Government of India to increase and supply the allocation of DAP to the State. At the same time, instructions are also being issued to the officials.
