Goddess Narmada is worshipped on this day. The river Narmada is associated with the faith of the people of Madhya Pradesh. On the occasion of Narmada Jayanti, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, paid his respects on the birth anniversary of Goddess Narmada.
