Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Municipality (BMC) water bill has crossed over lakhs of rupees on the Mahavikas Aghadi government, which has been in power in Maharashtra, and many ministers, yet the minister is not ready to pay the bill. This was revealed through an RTI. Maharashtra's Uddhav Thackeray and other ministers have 7 lakh 44 thousand 981 water left on the bungalow. There is also a water bill of Rs 24 lakh 56 thousand 469 at the government residences of CM Uddhav Thackeray and other ministers.

If the common Mumbaikar delays in giving a water bill of more than two-three months, then his water connection to and from the Mumbai Municipal Corporation is cut while the bill is not paid. However, no action is taken by the BMC. A living example of this is the bill of lakhs owed to the ministers of Maha Vikas Aghadi government.

When RTI activist Shakeel Ahmed asked for this information through RTI, the shocking revelation revealed in the reply that was received. In which a total bill of Rs 24 lakh 56 thousand 469 is left on the government houses of other ministers including CM Uddhav Thackeray and the Municipal Corporation has put these bungalows in the defaulter list.
