Kolkata: The conditions in Bengal states that everything is not going well in Mamata Banerjee led Trinamool Congress (TMC). In fact, many party leaders have opened a front against their own government. Now Jitendra Tiwari, the leader of TMC and MLA from Pandeshwar, has written a letter to Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim in the Mamta government, accusing him of not doing development work in his area.

MLA Jitendra Tiwari has alleged in his letter that the ministers have failed to convert Durgapur and Asansol into smart cities and there has been no development for the people of the area. Tiwari wrote in his letter that, "I was born in Asansol and grew up as a responsible citizen. As a city president, mayor and administrator have performed well in his responsibilities in the urban and local bodies, but I am pained to tell you that our city is under the smart city mission project by the central government Was chosen for ten cities."

He further wrote that 'With this, our city was allowed to get 2000 crores. Which could have been very important for the development of our city. But our city Asansol could not get any benefit due to any political reasons. ”He wrote that due to political reasons we did not get the funds from the central government nor did the state government give any fund for the development here."
