CM Yogi Adityanath expresses grief over demise of Shia religious leader Maulana Kalbe Sadiq

Lucknow: Maulana Kalbe Sadiq, the vice-president of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board and the famous Shia religious teacher, died late on Tuesday. He was 81 years old. On giving information, Maulana Sadiq's son Kalbe Sibtain Nouri said that his father breathed his last at around 10 pm on 24 November at Era Hospital in Lucknow.

Suffering from cancer, severe pneumonia and infection, Maulana Sadiq had been admitted to the hospital for the past one and a half months. He was admitted to the ICU of the hospital on Tuesday after his health deteriorated. Since then, his position has not recovered. According to the medical bulletin issued by the hospital, on Tuesday, his health worsened and he died late at night. Maulana Kalbe Sadiq was known worldwide for his liberal image.

UP CM Adityanath mourned the death of Maulana Sadiq. Wishing peace of Maulana Sadiq's soul, he expressed condolences to the bereaved family.
