Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday (October 5) gave milk to two female leopard cubs at the Shaheed Ashfaq Ulla Khan Zoological Park (Gorakhpur Zoo) in Gorakhpur and named them 'Bhavani' and 'Chandi'. Referring to the lines of Ramcharit Manas, 'Hit Anhit Pasu Pachhiu Jana, Manush Tanu Gun Gyan Nidhana', CM Yogi said that who is a benefactor and who harms animals, its palpitations materialise in animals.

CM Yogi said that Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram had gone to the forest only with Mother Sita and his cousin Lakshman, but during his exile, forest dwellers, bears, apes, vultures even trees, plants, and river channels of the forest helped him. He said that man will also be protected only when he is aware of his responsibilities toward nature and towards the conservation of animals. He requested everyone to contribute for the conservation of wildlife.

During this, CM Yogi was seen feeding milk to two leopard cubs. He also named two cubs. The cub, which was rescued from the forest of Bhagwanpur Bangar village under Meerut, was named 'Chandi', while the second female cub brought from the forest of Bijnor was named 'Bhavani'. Both these female cubs will be kept in Gorakhpur Zoo.
