The UP is steadily facing corona infection. Meanwhile, CM Yogi Adityanath will start a new scheme to make water arrangements in every house of Bundelkhand. The Yogi government is giving a big gift to the Bundelkhand region of the state, which has been struggling with the problem of drinking water for a long time. CM Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the construction work of 12 rural pipe drinking water scheme of Rs 2.185 crore in Murata village of Moth, Jhansi. He will be accompanied by Union Water Power Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Uttar Pradesh Water Power Minister Dr. Mahendra Singh and Minister of State Manohar Lal 'Mannu Kori'. The scheme will benefit 67 lakh population of 3622 revenue villages of seven districts including Jhansi in Bundelkhand.

Drinking water schemes started a lot in Bundelkhand, which are considered to be blighted for drought, but all the districts are still facing drought. During the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the Water Life Mission from Banda's rally. Yogi Adityanath Sarkar also started work in Bundelkhand under the State Pejial scheme.

A workout was started to land the PM's water life mission. It was decided that the projects would be completed in four phases, whose total estimated cost would be Rs 10131 crore. In the first phase, drinking water pipeline is to be laid in seven districts of Bundelkhand, Jhansi, Mahoba, Lalitpur, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Banda and Chitrakoot. This will benefit 67 lakh population of seven districts.
