Lucknow: State CM Yogi Adityanath spoke to the mother of Babar Ali, who was beaten to death in Uttar Pradesh's Kushinagar district, over the phone. Expressing condolences over Babar's death, CM Yogi told Babar's mother Zaibunnisha, "I am your second son. At the same time, CM Yogi Adityanath also assured action against all the accused. Let us know that Babur was killed by angry people for distributing sweets on the BJP's victory in the UP elections.

CM Yogi also spoke to Babar Ali's wife Fatima and assured her of all possible help. Along with this, he also announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh to the victim's family. Meanwhile, the UP Police on Monday (March 28, 2022) also arrested two accused in the case, Azimullah and Salma. The arrests of Tahid and Arif have already been made. According to reports, Babur has been transferred to the police line while taking action against the SHO for negligence in the murder case. The Ramkola police station in charge is alleged to have shown negligence even after the complaint and did not provide security to the victim. In this case, Babar Ali's wife Fatima had lodged a complaint against the accused.

What's the whole matter?

A resident of Katgharhi village under Kushinagar district, Babar was a BJP supporter and was also campaigning for the BJP in the UP elections. According to Babar's family, Babar was campaigning in favor of the BJP during the elections. He had also distributed sweets after the results were declared on March 10. Even after being a Muslim, supporting the BJP angered their Patidars, and seeing the opportunity, they beat Babur badly. It is being told that on March 20, when he was attacked, he had raised the slogan of Jai Shri Ram. Hearing this, their Kush relatives living around them were also enraged and Azimullah, Arif, Tahid, Parvez along with their accomplices attacked them. When Babur ran to the terrace to save his life, the fanatics also reached there and threw him off the roof after being beaten badly, leading to his death.
