Lucknow: During the foundation stone laying of the foundation stone of a Rs 450 crore ethanol plant at Maijapur sugar mill in Katra in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh, state CM Yogi Adityanath said that development and well-being of all are done in the BJP government. During the Samajwadi Party (SP) government, cases registered against terrorists were returned. The farmers were harassed.

CM Yogi said that now the poor are being provided free housing, toilets, gas, electricity connections and rations. During the tenure of SP, the ration of the poor used to go to Saifai. People used to die of hunger and the farmer did not get the right price for the crop, so the farmers were committing suicide. But that does not happen now. CM Yogi said farmers will now generate petrol and diesel along with sugarcane. Earlier, money for diesel and petrol used to go abroad, but now that money will go into the pockets of farmers. The ethanol plant will improve the farmers, increase employment opportunities.

He said that the BJP government works for the progress of farmers and the welfare of all without partiality. It could have happened earlier also, but before the year 2017, there were riots at the festival. People have celebrated their festivals with full enthusiasm. While many countries all over the world are devastated by corona, the corona was wiped out by the faith of the people here. PM Modi gave a vaccine to people for free to protect them from the corona.
