Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has asked the members of the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council to purchase "tablets" for the paperless budget session. Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma said, "All the MLAs and members of the Legislative Council of the state will be given iPads. Each iPad will cost around Rs 50,000, MLAs can buy iPads, they will be paid for it. ''

He said that the ministers of the state government have participated in a training program in this regard and MLAs and members of the Legislative Council will be trained before the budget session. On February 2, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath had directed that the state cabinet would next hold an online meeting for which ministers should be given proper training. CM Yogi had said, "Modern technology is very helpful in doing various tasks quickly and transparently".

CM Yogi had said that tablets should also be provided to all the members (MLAs) before the Vidhan Mandal session and the MLAs' training program should be conducted for effective use of the tablets. Yogi had said, "Modern technology is very helpful in quick and transparent editing of various tasks and the state government is continuously working to make the e-office system effective."
