New Delhi: The Committee of Administrators, ie the COA, barred three state cricket associations from participating in the Board of Control for Cricket in India and the AGM. The three-state cricket associations that the COA has shown to be out of the AGM and elections on the basis of rules include Tamil Nadu Cricket Association, Haryana Cricket Association and Maharashtra Cricket Association. The Committee of Administrators headed by Vinod Rai has observed that the constitution of Tamil Nadu, Haryana and Maharashtra Cricket Association is not based on the rules of the BCCI constitution recognized by the Supreme Court.

Therefore, these state cricket associations will not be able to participate in the AGM and BCCI elections to be held on October 23. The COA has found that the BCCI's three full member state cricket associations have inconsistencies in the constitution. These cricket associations have been asked to align with the BCCI. On the other hand, TNCA has been very vocal in clarifying its stand and stated that the COA has not been empowered by the Supreme Court to disqualify BCCI members, as they are non-compliant. The Haryana and Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) has reiterated the same.
