Kripa Shanker Patel has been suspended provisionally from the post of the coach by the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) for equating the governing body to a `mule` in his social media post.

The news is even confirmed by the  WFI Assistant Secretary Vinod Tomar who told ANI that he will remain suspended till the disciplinary committee takes the final decision on his post. The Arjuna awardee Patel earlier in this month said that the  United World Wrestling had twisted rules in the wrestling but the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) is unable to endorse it.

The Wrestling Federation of India on the 40-year-old  Patel's social media posts objected which were related to the upcoming National Senior Wrestling Competition which is scheduled to be played from November 15 to 18.

The  WFI president Brijbhushan Sharan Singh following his comments on September 13  issued a show cause notice on Patel asking why he should not be banned for six years for the post, to which Patel had issued a reply.

The competition is being held by incorporating only ten new weight categories according to United World Wrestling's new modified rules. The whole set of rules won't be endorsed in this event, the post read.
