Dehradun: Coast guard recruitment centre to be opened in Uttarakhand. It will be the country's fifth Coastguard recruitment centre. On 28th June 2019, at 11.00 a.m., CM Trivendra Singh Rawat of the province will worship the land for the recruitment centre and lay the foundation for it. This recruitment centre will be set up at Kuala Wala (Herrwala) Dehradun. On Sunday, DG Coastguard Rajendra Singh met CM Trivendra Singh Rawat at the CM residence.

In the meantime, he handed over the letter of permission of the Government of India to CM Rawat for setting up a Coast Guard Recruitment Centre in Uttarakhand. According to CM Trivendra Singh Rawat, the opening of coastguard recruitment centre in Uttarakhand will provide better employment opportunities to the youth of Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand is a disaster sensitive region. Coastguard will also provide training to SDRF for disaster relief and rescue methods.

The youth will also be provided training in disaster relief and rescue operations by Coast Guard. According to CM Trivendra Singh Rawat, Uttarakhand is a military territory. The troops from Uttarakhand are rendering their services in different parts of the army. PM Modi has pledged to develop Uttarakhand as the fifth military dham and it is the privilege of Uttarakhand that India's fifth Coast Guard recruitment centre is being built in Uttarakhand.
