New Delhi: In the coming days, you see Coca-Cola in a paper bottle instead of plastic. In fact, Coca-Cola is testing paper bottles for its drinks. The company believes that they are considering discontinuing the use of plastic bottles for environmental protection. According to the information, the company has so far made 2000 paper bottles, which are under testing and will be tested in the summer month.

These bottles are made from wood and bio-based materials, which are able to hold gas as well as liquids and oxygen. The bottle is made by the Danish team Pabo, The Paper Bottle Company, and the research team of Coca-Cola. This has come at a time when the company has set new targets for the year 2030, in which the goals have been announced and more attention has been given to the environment.

The company insists that the technology, which they also believe is a breakthrough, will be selling 2000 paper bottles of plant-based beverage ads through online grocery store Kifli.hu as a test, which will help customers with packaging. The initiative on paper bottling started when the Coca-Cola company was under pressure to create an environmentally sustainable packaging system for its drinks. In a recent report released by the charity group Break Free From Plastic, Coca-Cola was ranked as the world's number one plastic polluter, followed by rivals Pepsi and Nestle.
