India's Laughter Champion, a comedy programme on Sony Entertainment Television, offered viewers a diverse selection of stand-up acts from all over the nation and across all age groups. The successful television and digital run of the show over the previous few months came to an end on August 27, 2022. The Top 5 finalists in the "Laughter Ka Grand Finale" were Nitesh Shetty, Jayvijay Sachan, Vighnesh Pande, Himanshu Bawandar, and Rajat Sood. The show was hosted on August 27 at 9:30 PM. The final episode of the adored comedy series Liger was graced by the cast of Liger, including Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, as well as a special guest appearance by Sunil Grover dressed as Rinku Bhabhi.

Delhi resident Rajat Sood received the coveted trophy for "India's Laughter Champion." Sony Entertainment Television presented a check for INR 25 lakhs to Rajat Sood. Nitesh Shetty of Mumbai won the title of first runner-up, and after a close race, Jayvijay Sachan and Vighnesh Pande of Mumbai shared the title of second runners-up. The Delhi boy, who consistently won over the judges with his stories of love and loss, quickly became known to the audience as the stereotypical "Dilliwala lover boy."

Rajat was questioned about his emotions following the show's victory. "I was overwhelmed when the celebrations started and my name was called," he remarked. I had to take a moment to process that I had won. Although I had planned this moment numerous times in my head, I was still in awe of the reality. It was also a significant occasion because I was making my debut as a performer in front of my parents. He continued by saying that winning the show had given him access to new opportunities. I am now ready for any opportunities and shows that come my way, he declared. I have a fire inside of me to perform better, so I must work even harder now.

Rajat Sood received praise from all the show's judges, who each explained why Rajat deserved to win. I believe Rajat had a unique flavour of his own and he comes across as a very likeable guy, according to Shekhar Suman. He is a millennial, much too young, but he has the experience of someone in their 40s or 50s. He has a great sense of humour and spontaneity. The consistency of his performances, his pleasing demeanour, his presence on stage, his haazir-jawaabi, his witty remarks, and his very chocolate boy look, according to Archana Puran Singh, "all go to make him a winner." It was the wisest decision.
