Today, Government clears the ordinance in which business and industrial company can give salary to their employees through cheque or electronic mode. A source said “The Union Cabinet today approved the ordinance route to amend the Payment of Wages Act, 1936, to allow employers of certain industries to make payment through the electronic mode and cheques” .
The ordiance will remain valid till six months and by that time Government will be able to get bill passed in the Parliament. Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya has introduced the bill.
