Such a decision, the Central Government has decided to amend the existing Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objective Advertising) Act 1954 to ban false advertisements used to sell products. Provision is being made to ban such false advertisements.

How much can be fined for such a false advertising company?

According to officials, companies can be fined up to Rs 10 lakh for showing advertisements with false promises to make the body attractive. Along with this, the provision of imprisonment for two years is also being made. So that if the companies do not think a thousand times before showing such advertisements, then a provision is being made to recover a heavy fine of up to Rs. 50 lakh to the company, in addition to it, they can be imprisoned for up to 5 years. If we talk about the present law, then it is unable to stop the companies from making such misleading claims in the provision of fine. Currently, there is a provision of jail or fine of up to 6 months for displaying such advertisements. If found guilty a second time or more often, there can be up to 1 year in jail or a fine, or both. But there is no provision for charging more money as penalty. Our government is in dire need of bringing such a rule law.
