One of the famous singers of the Punjabi Industry, G Khan landed in legal trouble. The Ludhiana police on Wednesday booked Punjabi singer G Khan for hurting religious sentiments by allegedly singing ‘inappropriate’ songs at a Ganesh Chaturthi Visarjan program in the Janakpuri area of Ludhiana. The police also booked Honey Bedi, the son of former Bhartiya Janta Party MLA Harish Bedi, who organized the event.
As per the information the singer was booked by the police for hurting religious sentiments by singing "indecent" and "vulgar songs" during the Ganesh Chaturthi Virarjan Utsav event in Janakpuri in Ludhiana on September 9. The vice president of Shiv Shena Punjab Amit Arora has filed a written complaint with division number 2 police station, alleging that during the program, the singer sang songs such as "Peg motey motey whiskey wale", and "Choli ke peeche kya hai", which were not appropriate songs for the religious occasion.
The complaint further added, "The pious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi was used to hurt the religious sentiments of the Hindu community. If the police fail to register a case against Khan by Monday, we will sit on protest." A case has been filed under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 295. Apart from the singer, BJP leader Hitesh alias Honey Bedi has been booked. According to the information the Punjabi Singer also took to social media and apologize after the incident but ShivShena’s leader refused to accept the apology. G khan has sung a number of popular Punjabi songs in his career.
