Corona infection has been confirmed in the Chhattisgarh Armed Forces personnel posted in the security of the official residence of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel of the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. Senior state officials said on Friday that security personnel posted on duty outside the Chief Minister's residence was found to be Corona positive, after which he has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

In their statement, the officials said that the duty of this security personnel was on the outer side of the western gate of the Chief Minister's residence. His chief minister had no direct connection with the security arrangements for visitors to the premises and the interiors of the complex.

He told that this security personnel did not enter inside the Chief Minister's residence but still prescribed protocols and health safety standards are being followed as a precaution. At least 21 other soldiers who came in contact with the coronavirus-infected personnel have been quarantined. Police officials said samples of these security forces personnel have been tested, and corona infection has not been confirmed but they have been quarantined as a precaution. On the other hand, cases of coronavirus infection are continuously increasing. In the last 24 hours in India, 14516 new coronavirus infection cases and 375 deaths have been reported. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has now increased the total number of positive cases to 395048, including 168269 active cases, 213831 cured people, and 12948 deaths. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, a total of 66,16,496 samples were tested till 19 June.
