Bhopal: Donations have begun for the construction of Lord Rama Temple in Ayodhya. So far, many big leaders, Celebes, have donated. Now, in the meantime, Rajya Sabha MP Digvijay Singh has joined the list. Remember all of you, Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed Bhoomi Pujan of Ram Mandir in August last year. Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh had said that the Muhurat in which Pujan is happening is an 'ominous muhurat'. He has now sent a cheque of lakhs of rupees to PM Modi for temple construction.

According to the information received, he has sent a cheque of Rs 1.11 lakh to PM Modi in the name of 'Sriram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Area Trust'. "A donation of about Rs. 100 crore has been received within two days for construction of the temple," says Champat Rai, general secretary, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Trust. Now, Digvijay Singh has objected to the formation of a trust in the past. In his letter to PM Modi, he has said, "We have all welcomed the Supreme Court order on the temple of Lord Rama in Ayodhya, but I have objected to not including any one of the major Shankaracharyas of Sanatan Dharma in the trust that has been set up for temple construction. Nevertheless, I would like the temple of Lord Shri Ram to be constructed at Ayodhya at the earliest.’’

In addition, he further wrote, "Since I am not aware of where and in which bank the account to deposit the amount to donate for construction of the temple, I am attaching a cheque for the name of 'Sriram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Area Trust' as my contribution to the temple construction. Hopefully, you will deposit it in the proper account.’’
