New Delhi: Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has given a statement in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday after the Lok Sabha on the border dispute with China. Rajnath Singh has assured that the Indian soldier on the China border is ready and will not back down under any circumstances. This time, apart from the Lok Sabha, the Opposition leaders in the Rajya Sabha got an opportunity to express their views. After Rajnath's statement, Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad, AK Antony and Anand Sharma spoke in the House.

Ghulam Nabi Azad said that all are united on the issue of sovereignty of the country. I have traveled to Siachen twice, have also gone boating with soldiers in Chushul. Ghulam Nabi told that he and former PM Rajiv Gandhi spent the night in the bunkers of Chushul. He said that we are standing with the government and we should go back to the situation before April on the border. Former minister AK Antony also said in Parliament that the Congress is fully with the Army in this matter. During this, he asked for an explanation, saying that the Defense Minister should explain whether protecting the status quo involves restoring the situation before April.

AK Antony alleged that Galwan has never been the subject of controversy, he is not allowing us to patrol even in Pangong. However, replying to the Congress leader, Rajnath Singh said that no power in the world can stop patrolling India.
