NABRANGPUR: 'Keep petrol and diesel ready ... fire everything whenever orders are received ...' These disputed statements are of Pradeep Majhi, the working president of Congress and former MP in Odisha, who is calling his activists. In fact, Pradeep Majhi said this over phone to protesters in the police station Kossagumuda with a motive to spread nuisance in Nabarangpur in connection with the gang rape and murder of a minor girl. Its video has been shared by OTV News.
The video went viral on social media. BJP has strongly condemned this video. In fact, the Congress has called for a 12-hour bandh in Nabarangpur on this issue. The Congress had called a 12-hour shutdown in protest against police inaction in the case of alleged gang rape and murder of a minor girl in Kosagumuda police station area of the district. Due to this, many business establishments and markets remained closed.
Pradeep Majhi gave a clarification after appearing in this video and said that we have adopted the path of peace, but the state government is not taking any necessary steps on the increasing rape incidents in Odisha. Therefore, we are ready to take the law into our own hands. We will do anything to protect the women of our state.
