New Delhi: To overcome the economic problems amid the Corona epidemic, the Modi government has approved the proposal of 20 thousand crore loan for the MSME sector, while for farmers to pay 50 to 83 percent more on 14 crops. The BJP is patting the government's back on this decision, while the Congress is calling it a setback.
Congress says that the farmer acted as an unknown warrior, but nobody did anything for them. Congress says that this increase is equal to cumin in the camel's mouth. Punjab Congress unit president Sunil Jakhar said in a video press conference on Tuesday that the farmer gave good crop even during the Corona epidemic, but no one did anything for the farmers. Sunil Jakhar has said that 'The government has probably considered the farmer self-sufficient, hence the farmer is being ignored and nothing has been given to them.'
Sunil Jakhar said that this is only a nominal increase. He asked the government where the document of the CACP is, on the basis of which the MSP has been announced. Jakhar said that due to shortage of labourers, the cost of the planting of the crop has reduced, but this fact is not taken care of in the MSP. Many decisions were taken in the Modi cabinet meeting on Monday. After the meeting, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Tomar has said that the Minimum Support Price has been increased significantly. This is a big announcement from the government for farmers. The support price of maize has been increased by 53 percent. There has been a 58 percent increase in tur and moong. Tomar said that there are 14 crops in which farmers will be given support price of 50 to 83 percent.
