Amritsar: Before the Punjab assembly elections, there has been no sign to stop the discord within the state Congress. State Congress unit president Navjot Singh Sidhu, who opened a front against Captain Amarinder Singh, has suffered another major setback. Navjot Singh Sidhu was in Delhi since the last day and wanted to meet the Congress high command, but it was not possible.

According to media reports, Navjot Singh Sidhu was not given an appointment by the party high command. Nor could Navjot Singh Sidhu meet Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. In such a situation, a disappointed Sidhu has returned to Punjab. Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu wanted to meet the party's top leadership in Delhi here to complain about CM Captain Amarinder Singh. But this meeting could not be possible, so Sidhu had to return idle.

Let us tell you that the dispute between Navjot Singh Sidhu and Captain Amarinder Singh has been going on for a long time. Recently, Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat visited Punjab and had a meeting with Navjot Singh Sidhu and his team. In this meeting, Harish Rawat had made it clear that Captain Amarinder Singh would be the CM of Punjab and there would be no change in the cabinet of the state government. Before the visit of Harish Rawat, there was a demand for the resignation of Captain Amarinder Singh on behalf of Navjot Singh Sidhu's faction.
