New Delhi: The counting of votes for the Congress national president's election is underway today. Meanwhile, Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor's team has raised the issue of irregularities in the election. According to the report, Tharoor's election team is constantly discussing with the Congress election committee. The name of the new Congress president can be announced by 4 pm on Wednesday, which Mallikarjun Kharge is believed to win.

Tharoor's election agent Salman Soz said, "We are in constant touch with Madhusudan Mistry's office. They have been briefed on many different issues.'' At the moment, can't get into its specifics. Media reports quoted sources as saying that Tharoor's team has given two to three complaints to the Central Election Authority (CEA) of the Congress. During this time, the issue of violation has been raised in the Congress headquarters during the election process in different states. It is reported that one case is related to the centre of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Pradesh Congress Committee delegates are the highest here.

It is reported that Tharoor's team has complained that the state in-charge was present at the polling booth. However, Mistry, chairman of the election committee, was asked not to do so. According to a media report, a CEA official has said, "Three secretaries of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in Lucknow were in Lucknow, but they were not allowed to vote. After the election process, his agents (Team Tharoor) were satisfied and also signed the document.''
