Ranchi: In Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, the Congress had to face a strange situation. Congress workers today protested against rising petrol and diesel prices near the Gandhi statue in Ranchi when some unemployed people came there and started demanding jobs shouting slogans against the Soren government. As soon as the unemployed demanding employment entered the Congress movement, slogans started shouting from both sides.

The unemployed surrounded the Congress leaders, during which there was a fierce scuffle. The unemployed raised slogans against the Hemant government demanding jobs. Congress in turn also raised slogans against PM Modi. The Jharkhand Congress Committee today protested against the hike in petrol and diesel and LPG prices. A protest was organized by party workers in front of Bapu Vatika in Morhabadi under the leadership of Congress State Unit President Dr. Rameshwar Oraon. In the meantime, some 'unemployed' came there.

Congress Legislature Party leader Alamgir Alam, Agriculture Minister Badal and Health Minister Banna Gupta, MLA Pradeep Yadav, Bandhu Tirkey, Purnima Neeraj Singh, Bhushan Bara, Ramchandra Singh, Anup Singh alias Jaimangal Singh, former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahai, and several Congress leaders were present at the demonstration.
