New Delhi: Congress national spokesperson Randeep Surjewala has said that the farmers' performance against the new agricultural laws is a battle for their livelihood. Surjewala said that this fight is not only for the 62 crore rural people, but this struggle is for the 120 crore people who feed on the farm fields of the farmers. He said that to call this movement as political is an insult to the Annadata.

Surjewala said that if the farmer is ready to make 14 changes, then why does not he abolish this law. Talking to a private news channel, he said that the Modi government should stop hitting farmers. Randeep Surjewala said that in the crisis of Corona epidemic, why did the government bring this black law in the dark of night. Did any farmers organization demand it, or did any political party demand it. The BJP has no answer to these questions.

Surjewala also said that there should be a single farmer organization of the country that is in support of these agricultural laws, all organizations are demanding to withdraw this law, then why is the Modi government refusing it. Randeep Surjewala said that if agriculture is a state subject then how can Narendra Modi's government make laws on it.
