Patna: Congress has released its first list for the Bihar MLC elections tomorrow, February 17, 2022. A total of 8 candidates have been announced in the first list. 

Here is the list of Congress candidates for the MLC elections:- 
Katihar: Sunil Kumar Yadav
West Champaran: Mohammad Afaq Ahmed
Madhubani: Subodh Mandal
Begusarai: Rajiv Kumar
Sitamarhi: Noori Begum
Siwan: Ashok Kumar Singh
Muzaffarpur: Ajay Kumar Yadav
Saran: Sushant Kumar Singh

According to media reports, it was recently reported by sources in the Congress party that the list of candidates will be released in three phases. The Congress is looking to field its candidates in 20 seats. Earlier, on February 13, the RJD had released its list of candidates. The names of candidates for 21 seats were announced by the RJD. The RJD and Congress had decided to separate and contest the MLD elections. On the other hand, recently, The Minister of Animal Husbandry in the Nitish government and the president of the NDA's ally VIP Party Mukesh Sahani has openly expressed his displeasure. He said his party will contest the MLC elections in all the 24 seats being held in Bihar. Apart from this, he clarified that his party is contesting the elections to win and that is why he has decided to field candidates in all the seats.
