Ranchi: The post of Congress state president in Jharkhand is vacant. Dr. Ajay Kumar had announced his resignation as Jharkhand Congress state president on August 9. Since then, the discussion on the selection of the new state president has gained momentum. The dates for the Jharkhand Assembly elections are due to be announced in a few weeks. Congress is soon making efforts to fill the state president's post. As the election is close, the state president may be appointed as part of an electoral strategy.

After the Lok Sabha elections in Jharkhand, the leadership of Dr. Ajay Kumar was constantly questioned. Out of 14 Lok Sabha seats, the Congress was able to win only one seat. The state leaders were constantly attacking him and pressuring him to resign. Finally, Ajay Kumar resigned from his post.

However, after resigning from the post, Ajay Kumar had made serious allegations against several Congress leaders. He made serious allegations against Congress leaders like Subodh Kant Sahai and Balmuchu. He said, these leaders targeted him for his own benefit. At present, however, Congress is preparing a strategy for the selection of a new state president. A strategy that will give a big advantage to the party in the assembly elections.
