Congress submits memorandum to authorities, demanding probe into 'land grabbing' allegations against Assam CM's family

The Assam Congress party has written to the deputy commissioner of Kamrup-Rural district, requesting a judicial inquiry into charges of "land grabbing" by Assam state minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's family.

"Today, the Kamrup-R district Congress committee filed a memorandum to the Kamrup-R DC, requesting a judicial enquiry into the  land scams of RBS Realtors and the family of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma," according to the Assam Congress. Assam Congress general secretary Apurba Kumar Bhattacharya, Balika Pegu, Kankan Das, and Ghanashyam Kalita led the group that submitted the memorandum.
