New Delhi: Before the assembly elections of five states, Congress can implement its national presidential election. The Central Election Authority, headed by senior leader Madhusudan Mistry, has completed all preparations for the election for the post of president. The election process for the party's full-time President will begin with the Congress Working Committee (CWC) stamping its election schedule.

A member of the party's Central Election Authority, who has commanded the election of the Congress president, said that all preparations have been almost completed. There was a meeting between the Election Authority members through video conferencing two days ago. It was decided in this meeting that digital cards would be issued to the voters. The election schedule will also be finalized soon.

A veteran party leader said that almost all preparations have been done by the Election Authority. Madhusudan Mistry as the Chairman of the Authority soon will meet the in charge of organization K.C. Venugopal and discuss the convening of CWC meeting. The process will be started after finalizing the election schedule after discussion in the CWC. According to him, the party will elect its new president by the end of January. So, the AICC session could be called in February.
