Dehradun: Congress leader Aqeel Ahmed, who has been in the news for his demand for the establishment of a Muslim university in Uttarakhand, has finally been discharged from the party over the same issue. He has been dismissed for 6 years from the primary membership of Congress on charges of indiscipline.

A letter of the expulsion of Aqeel Ahmed was issued late on Monday evening by the party's general secretary organisation Mathuradutt Joshi. It said that in the wake of the assembly elections on behalf of Aqeel Ahmed and even after that, there was continuous unrestrained rhetoric in the media, which has damaged the image of the party.

A show-cause notice was also issued by the party on February 8 in this regard, but the unrestrained rhetoric from Aqeel continued even after this. Which the central leadership has taken seriously. So taking disciplinary action on Aqeel Ahmed, he has been dismissed for 6 years from the primary membership of the party. Congress State Vice President Aqeel Ahmed's new statement on the issue of Muslim University, which is in the run-up to the assembly elections, has come to the fore. He said that Uttarakhand will now have a Muslim university. Even if he has to collect donations from the people of the community. Describing him in a rebellious manner, he said he will seek a ticket from Haridwar Lok Sabha on the same issue. If the party does not give a ticket, he will contest as an independent.
