Varanasi: There are talks of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and Congress leader Kamal Nath leaving the party. It is being said that Kamal Nath and his son Nakul Nath can join BJP by joining hands with Congress. Meanwhile, when Congress General Secretary (Communication) Jairam Ramesh was asked about the news of Kamal Nath joining BJP, he refused to talk about it.

It is being told that Rahul Gandhi is angry with Kamal Nath over the crushing defeat in the assembly elections held in the state last year and due to this the party did not send him to the Rajya Sabha. Now angry with this, Kamal Nath can leave the party. After the defeat in the assembly elections, he resigned from the post of President of Madhya Pradesh, after which Jitu Patwari was handed over the command of the state.

In the assembly elections held last year, BJP retained power by winning 163 out of 230 seats. Whereas Congress managed to win only 66 seats. Congress had suffered a major setback due to its defeat in this election. The party was making tall claims of victory in this election.
