Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has termed the Congress’s Vachan Patra can be named as ‘Kapat Patra’ (a fraud document). Shivraj Singh made the above comment at a public meeting in Surkhi, last day. The Chief Minister said that the Congress had failed to fulfill old promises but it came up with new ones. He adds, Congress simply writes good words but it does not do anything into reality. Their promises are hollow; what can one do about those empty words”.
Chouhan also said the Congress had promised that the party would waive off farmers’ loans in ten days but it broke that promise. As per Chouhan, in its Vachan Patra for the Vidhan Sabha elections, the Congress said it would give bonus on wheat, paddy, maize, mustard, Urad and Moong but sadly failed to do that. The party also promised to make a new crop insurance policy, but did nothing, Chouhan said. Congress also guaranteed the youth that it would give them joblessness allowance of Rs 4,000, but failed to keep that promise too, he said.
In addition, the party promised to give Rs 1000 as pension to the elderly, but that did not materialize, Chauhan said. The party also said it would give Rs 51,000 to girls for wedding but it fails to give a single paisa to them. The congress has lied to farmers in the name of loan waiving, adding that the party only make fake pledges to people. The voters have, however, understood the Congress’s trick, Chouhan concluded.
