New Delhi: The Supreme Court will hear matters related to the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, restrictions and conditions related to the situation today i.e. from Tuesday. The apex court yesterday, ie on Monday, sent it to the constitution bench of five judges to hear all these cases.

A bench of Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi referred the matter to a five-judge bench headed by Justice NV Ramna to hear all the petitions for imposing a so-called ban in Kashmir, ban on movement of journalists and detention of children in the Valley. The Constitution Bench also consists of Justice SK Kaul, Justice R Subhash Reddy, Justice BR Gavai and Justice Suryakant. During the hearing, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that the reply will be filed by the Central Government on Monday in this matter.

These petitions include petitions of Inakshi Ganguly, Mohammad Tarigami, Sitaram Yechury, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Anuradha Bhasin, among others, fighting for the rights of the child. The five-member Constitution Bench was constituted by the court on Saturday to hear petitions challenging the removal of Article 370.

Several people, including the National Conference, Sajjad Lone-led Jammu and Kashmir People's Conference and advocate ML Sharma, have filed petitions against the Centre's decision to lift Section 370. On behalf of the National Conference, Lok Sabha MP Mohammad Akbar Lone and retired Jammu and Kashmir High Court Justice Hasnain Masoodi have given. Apart from this, many former bureaucrats and former army officers have also filed petitions on this issue.
