Rajasthan Royals have also been disputed in the IPL history and have more headlines due to more controversies over the game.

The very first champion team of IPL 2008 was Rajasthan Royals and worth mentioning here In spite of not having a big player in the team at that time, RR had won a title under the captaincy of Shane Warne.

1. In the Indian Premier League 2013, Controversy on spot-fixing was revealed in which all the three trapped players were from the Rajasthan Royals. Team pacer S Sreesanth, spinners Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandela were prime accused of spot-fixing and their arrest was also done following life ban.  

2.In 2015, Rajasthan Royals owner Raj Kundra is also accused of betting, after this, the BCCI imposed a life ban on Rajasthan Royals owner Raj Kundra. At the same time, the team was banned for two years.

3.In 2010, Rajasthan Royals faced another controversy in which the Rajasthan Royals and the Kings XI Punjab, who were in dispute over the ownership of the team, had to be out of the IPL. After this, the Rajasthan and Punjab team approached the High Court and the Supreme Court, and with some conditions, they could return to the IPL.

4.Talking about the latest Ball-tampering Controversy, in the 11th season of the league in IPL 2018, Rajasthan Royals made a comeback in the IPL and they selected Kangaroo captain Steven Smith but Steven Smith was trapped in the ball tampering case in the Cape Town Test against South Africa just before the start of this season. In the press conference, Smith admitted that the whole team had planned it.

However, David Warner and Steve Smith will not be allowed to play this year as Rajiv Shukla, IPL Commissioner announced.
