Imphal: COVID-19 cases are continuously increasing in India. It was reported that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the state has gone up to 8607.

According to the data, 90 recoveries were also recorded in the state on Friday. The total count of cases in the state includes 1,926 active cases, 6,629 people recovered and 52 died. The Health Department said that the state's recovery rate is 77.01 per cent. In the country, the statistics of COVID-19 virus infections are increasing rapidly.

Even on a daily basis, more than 90 thousand cases of COVID-19 virus cases have been registered for the past several days. In the last 24 hours, the number of COVID-19 infected in the country has crossed 5.3 million with 93,337 new cases on Saturday. There have also been 1,247 deaths during this period.
