India Corona: Rising cases may profess threat, cases cross 40,000 mark again

New Delhi: India has seen a renewed rise in corona infection cases. According to a report released by the Union Ministry of Health, 42,625 new corona cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, up 12,000 from yesterday's cases. It may be noted that more than 40,000 corona cases were being reported in the country continuously for the last six days. Though there were 30,549 cases yesterday, more than 40,000 cases have once again raised public concerns today.

According to the report, 562 people died of the disease yesterday. With these new cases, in the last 24 hours where 36,667 patients have recovered. With the latest cases, the total number of cases of persons infected with this infection across the country has gone up to 3,17,69,132. The number of active cases was recorded at 4,10,353. The number of cases of persons who recovered after treatment from the disease was recorded at 3,09,33,022 and the total number of deaths was 4,25,757.

According to the Health Ministry, the recovery rate of corona infection in India is now 97.37 percent and the weekly positivity rate is less than 5 percent to 2.36 percent. Speaking of daily positivity rates, the daily positivity rate has been recorded at 2.31 based on new cases and recovering individuals. According to the report, more than 48,52,86,570 crores vaccines have been administered across the country since the inception of the vaccination campaign. While 62,53,741 people were vaccinated in the last 24 hours.
