Chinese city Wuhan is the place where the birth of coronavirus took place. These were news that china has controlled the virus to a great extent. Now, according to a study,  Wuhan seems to have underreported the number of corona cases since the beginning of the pandemic. The study revealed that the total number of infections in the Chinese city in Hubei province could be 10 times the actual reported figure.

Around 4.4 percent of the city’s 11 million residents had developed antibodies against the deadly virus by April, claims a study conducted by health authorities in Wuhan. The report by the Chinese Centre for Disease Control (CDC) states that Wuhan could have had around 480,000 infections by April, which is almost 10 times the official tally of 50,000 cases at present in the city.

China has continued to face a lot of criticism for keeping the world in the dark about the cases till early January. Earlier, China on Monday jailed citizen journalist Zhang Zhan for four years for reporting from inside Wuhan during the peak of the outbreak.
