The number of infected people in the country is more than one lakh 31 thousand: According to the data released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 6,767 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours and 147 people have died. After this, the total number of corona positive cases across the country has increased to 1,31,868. Out of which there are 73,560 active cases, 54,441 people have been cured or discharged from hospital and 3,867 people have died.
Full lockdown implemented in Karnataka today: In order to avoid the spread of corona in Karnataka, the police in Kalburgi today implemented full lockdown. Except shops selling essential goods, everything will remain closed till Monday morning. Significantly, in increasing the scope of concessions in Lockdown 4.0, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa had said that there will be complete lockdown in the state on Sunday. During this time, everything else except shops selling essential items will remain closed.
