In Punjab, 4498 new infections were found on Saturday and 64 patients lost their lives. The condition of 46 patients remains critical. So far, 7834 people in the state have been dying from infection. There are now 32499 active patients in the state.

According to the health department, 6561028 people have been sampled in the state so far. Of these, 295138 people have been reported infected. 254805 people have defeated Kovid-19.

Maximum 10 deaths in SAS Nagar: Amritsar 6, Barnala 1, Bathinda 4, Firozpur 3, Gurdaspur 6, Hoshiarpur 4, Jalandhar 4, Kapurthala 2, Ludhiana 6, Mansa 1, SAS Nagar 10, Muktsar 2, Pathankot 2, Patiala 7, Ropar 1, Sangrur 1 and Tarn Taran killed 4 patients. So far, 1238 infectives have died in Ludhiana, the highest number of infections. 1010 in Jalandhar, 808 in Amritsar have died. The number of deaths in Mansa is increasing at a much faster rate than in other districts. Only 57 people have died here due to infection.
