New Delhi: Corona cases are declining in the country. In the last 24 hours, 36,571 new corona cases have been reported in India. Thereafter, the number of active cases has gone up to 3,63,605. This is the lowest in the last 150 days. Earlier on Thursday, 36,401 new corona cases were reported in the country. According to a report from the ICMR, 50,26,99,702 persons have been examined till August 19. On 19th August itself, samples of 18,86,271 people were tested.

On the other hand, a study has revealed that the delta variant of corona can infect both vaccinated and non-vaccinated persons. The study has been conducted by ICMR in Chennai. According to this study, delta variants have the capacity to infect both vaccine-takers and non-vaccine-takers. However, it greatly reduces the death crisis for people who have taken the vaccine.

Earlier, Dr. S.K. Singh, Director, National Centre for Disease Control, had given two types of surveillance on the impact of delta variants of corona and 'variants of concern'. He had said, "We were monitoring 2 types, the first is monitoring the impact of delta variants and the second is paying special attention to people coming from outside.'' According to health officials, Kerala, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh fall under the category of Delta Plus State in the country. 100 percent of the people coming to Jharkhand from these three states will be tested for corona.
