There was a stir due to 10 patients absconding from the Medical College in Meerut district on Tuesday. One of these patients, Shakir (23), was admitted in the Corona suspect ward on the first floor of Covid-19 Hospital since 19 April, who ran away from the window with the help of a rope at around 3 am on Tuesday.

9 patients escaped from the hospital at around 8:30 pm when they were being shifted from an ambulance from the Medical College to Subharti Hospital. According to District Surveillance Officer Dr Vishwas Chaudhary, the corona report of these patients had come negative, due to which they had to be kept in quarantine in Subharti for 14 more days. According to SP City, all patients are being searched.
