According to the information received recently, a pregnant woman has died due to starvation amidst a lockdown implemented in Pakistan to prevent the spread of coronavirus. According to the media report, this woman died in Jhudo in Mir Khas district of Sindh province. The woman's husband said that due to the lockdown he does not have work, due to which he is not able to get the food and other everyday needs for his family. Apart from this, this person also has 6 children. According to this person, he does not even have the money to bury his wife.

Meanwhile, the locals living there have collected money to bury her. The incident has raised questions on the claims of the Imran Government of Pakistan and the Government of Sindh in which promises were made to provide food and work to the poor during the lockdown. Workers and other employees of various sectors have also staged a large number of demonstrations in Karachi on this issue.
