Due to the epidemic corona, many people are trapped in their fields. Instructions have been issued by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh regarding the preparedness of the state to deal with the massive influx of people of Punjab trapped in NRIs and other states of the country. He instructed the Health Department that every person returning to Punjab should be investigated and that the confinement for those coming back from the Red Zone and the hotel/house for NRIs should be ensured.

On Tuesday, the Chief Minister gave an order to audit the preparations for level-1 and level-2 facilities of video conferencing with health experts, saying that 21000 Punjabis from abroad want to return home. He instructed the committee of experts to prepare guidelines and protocols at their level.

Apart from this, the Chief Minister also made it clear that they do not believe in the medical certificates given by the concerned countries to the people returning to Punjab. He said that NRIs should have the option of being kept under observation until pending testing for their stay in hotels and homes on payment basis, which should be within four-five days of their arrival.
