The cases of corona infection in Uttarakhand are not taking the name of reduction. 43 Corona positive cases have been reported in the state on Wednesday. Now the number of infected patients in the state has reached 1985. Additional Secretary Health Couple Kishore Pant has confirmed this. According to the Health Bulletin issued by the Health Department, 14 cases have been reported in Almora, 8 in Dehradun, 8 in Nainital, 9 in Tehri, 2 in Rudraprayag and one each in Pauri and Uttarkashi. 1230 infected patients have recovered and returned home. However, there are still 717 active cases. While 25 corona-infected patients have died so far.

The Doon Medical College has been designated as the Center of Excellence by the Central Government for doing better work in the treatment and sampling of patients infected with Coronavirus. Dr. Anurag Agarwal has been made the nodal officer of Doon Medical College by the Health Department. According to the order issued by Secretary Health Amit Singh Negi, the Central Government has declared State Doon Medical College as the Center of Excellence in Covid 19 Clinical Management. Labs have been established in Doon Medical College for short duration sample testing and fast sampling is being done. The performance of sending corona infected patients home after treatment has also been good. Dr. Anurag Aggarwal, Head of the Department of Respiratory Medicine of the Medical College, has been named the Nodal Officer.

The government is focusing on institutional quarantine for the prevention of coronavirus in the state. 766 people have been institutionalized in the state within a day. More than 11 thousand people in the state have become quarantined in the arrangements made by the government. According to the report of the Health Department, the number of institutional quarantined people in the state has reached more than 11 thousand. Institutional quarantines have been done in different districts for people coming from the Red Zone of the outer states within a day. On June 16, the number of institutional quarantine people in the state was 10409, which has increased to more than 11 thousand on Wednesday. On the other hand, Additional Secretary Yugal Kishore Pant says that it is mandatory for people coming from the Red Zone of the outer states to stay in the institutional quarantine for seven days. After seven days, 14 days will have to be in the home quarantine.
