Raipur: In Korba district of Chhattisgarh, during the last 24 hours, 13 people including three women have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus. With this, the total number of infected in the state has increased to 31. According to officials of Korba district, the maximum number of 22 people in Katghora town has been found infected with this virus.

CM Uddhav Thackeray said this on lockdown

SDM of Katghora, Suryakiran Tiwari said that all the affected people in the city had come in contact with 16 people of Tabligi Jamaat in the past. Members of the Jamaat were staying in the mosque. Tiwari said that after a large number of coronavirus infections in the city, the city has been sealed and all residents of the affected area are undergoing health tests. He said that reports of seven people of the old settlement area were received on Saturday night, while today coronavirus infection has been confirmed in six others. Earlier, officials of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Raipur, had told that one of the six infected people is from Bilaspur district.

Later, Bilaspur area Inspector General of Police Dipanshu Kabra said that no infection has been confirmed in any person in Bilaspur on Sunday. This confusion has arisen due to the name of the person resident of Katghora and the person resident of Bilaspur. A sample of both was sent for examination, but coronavirus infection has been confirmed in the person of the Katghora.
